Hello
I can't do a screen shot, but this is what shows in the three boxes at the bottom of the main viper screen
"><PARAM NAME=
It shows up after it tells me I can not be authenticated. I have tried entering with a room name, a url, and RHX.
The exact error is "10049 address is not available from local machine"
Raw Data says: Client: IRCVERS IRC7 MSN-OCX!8.00.0211.1802 AUTH GateKeeper I :GKSSP\0s\n\0\0\0\0\0\0 AUTH GateKeeper S :GKSSP\0½\0\0\0\0\0\0+êãõ®¼Œý Client: AUTH GateKeeper S :GKSSP\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0xiyG‡êH\b©ÅZeñv¸têým8E»¶\\] :tk2chatwbc02 910 nickname :Authentication Failed
It joins just fine as long as its not in bot mode. Its only when in bot mode that I get the above error.

Perhaps you can try to connect as guest (untick passport in the bottem of viper) so you start up viper, you type in the URL space "RM:thelobby" and press "connect" (so dont join a room through browsing inside Viper)
I have the feeling the html in the passport spaces is Vipers passport grabb option that automatically triggers when you browse to a room, not sure though lol
* edit, yup I'm sure now cause I just tried lol

Hello Webagent,
First of all, Thank you for your time and effort. I get the same error when I use your suggestion. I'm sorry I am being such a pain. Perhaps it would be best if I went back to an older version at this point?

Hello,
I am loading passport information after viper is open, but before I have it enter a room, because it won't enter the rooms. But it is open.

What happens if you try as guest?

Try this...
go to the extra tab and untick Auto Bot Mode... Vipers internal grabber will override the cookies if you enter a room and it goes to switch to bot mode...

Hello Webagent, The exact same thing happens when I try to enter as a guest. The only way I can enter is when viper is not in bot mode. If I try to have it join in bot mode via the extra's drop down I get the same error. Brightest Blessings Little Gecko

I found interesting Information for You LittleGecko!! :::::Network error 10049::::: This error occurs if you use a non-existent or incorrect IP address in the IP address configuration of Jana. The most common cause is when you have configured Jana to use the wrong IP address. For example, if you use a DSL connection, a wrong IP for Jana would be the IP address of the network card for your DSL modem. You have to bind Jana to the network card that connects your server (the pc where Jana is installed on) to your local network. You can show the IP addresses of all the interface cards in your PC with the command "ipconfig -all" (NT/2000/XP) or "Winipcfg" (Win9x). Now all your network information is displayed, you should use the IP Address of your ethernet card in the Jana IP address configuration. If you use DSL over ethernet and / or you have two ethernet adapters installed and you dont know which IP address to set in the Jana configuration, then you should try each address in turn until the Network error no longer occurs. SOLUTION TO "WINDOWS SOCKETERROR"(10049)
I know what kind of problems you are all having and nobody has been able to help you cause I searched forever for help and found no real solution......all these errors came from P2P programs...they're all viruses, and they keep reproducing themselves.... So I have the answer you're looking for here --> ....1ST.)go to www.moosoft.com and get "the cleaner"(trail or purchase does not matter)...2ND.) run the cleaner and it will remove the trojans..... 3RD.) go to your "my computer" icon and right click, go to properties, then performance, click on file system, then troubleshooting. Check mark "Disable System restore" then reboot your PC (make sure you click "ok" on those annoying "windows socket errors" until they are gone from the screen then imediately reboot your PC)...4TH.)when your PC restarts go do the reverse of the action explained above (enable system restore)......BOOYA!!! ...you should be on your way to non-annoying pc experience again....peace out and good luck ( This Post is From Biotech) I hope...It Helps. Hello All,
Well, I tried the cleaner...system was clean. I changed the param name server information to what you listed. I have no problem getting viper into a room using it as a browser. The problem occurs when trying to get viper into the room as a bot. I am no longer getting the 10049 error. Now it tells me this instead:
network problems are preventing you from connecting to the chat service. please try again later
I use MSN as my provider, I'm using the latest version of MSN Explorer, and my operating system is ME. The VD Tool says:
Checking version info of MSNConnectionVProxy dll... Warning: Viper connection dll not in 'C:\Program Files\ViperBot\vconnection' folder.
I have version 1.2.0. I have tried to download the 1.5, it comes back as a failed download. Is there somewhere other then web agent's site that I can download the lastest regular chat (not group) dll?

Hello Again,
Thank you for the download site. I have the 1.5 msnconnectionproxy dll now. The newest error is:
Runtime error 429 activex component can't create object
The VDTool says this:
Testing MSNConnectionVProxy DLL... Error: Error occurred while loading MSNConnectionVProxy DLL. Error Description: ActiveX component can't create object Error Number: 429 Click here to find solution (or get help) for this problem.
Checking version info of MSNConnectionVProxy dll... Error: Error occurred while querying viper connection dll version info. Error Description: Your registered version of Viper Connection Dll doesn't support version query or it is not register. Error Number: VC429 Click here to find solution (or get help) for this problem.
When I try the fix it says:
file not found. contact chuck.
I have registered the proxy dll, Viper will not even load with this error.
