Ok pc rebooting on it`s own is a overheat, most r set to close down if max tempetures r passed! It is best to check for dust in pc ,the cpu heatsink will have a large build up due to the fact the cooling area is quite compact! Also check ur cooling fan on cpu as these tend to wear badly,if so look around for a good make perhaps with better heatsink! cpu running at 100% it is struggling with a program, perhaps u need more ram viper consumes alot of ram memory! But remeber dust insulates so check inside pc regularly and rememer to earth ur self on water pipes before touch the inside of pc ! Cpu running at 100% will cause damage over a long period,if it still presist donot use till the prob is sorted!

I would say to set your swap/page file size to 1.5 x your ram size and your ram size should be at least 512 megs with a no less then P3 -500 mhz processor if running Windows XP professional.. I can assure you that a good condition computer and a GOOD clean install of Windows XP running in NTFS format will pave the way to better data and software management, not to mention less Dos attacks.. I would also advise that windows runs windows better without the aid of 3rd Party Tweak Apps. "I have piss tested many".. www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm This is a site for all your XP Q&A's, Please pay it a visit and understand it.. My findings with XP Professional "have been using it since 5 months before it was realised" is to start striping things off from it instead of adding to it.. By the time your done it should look and feel like windows 2000 "which is what you should be using in the first place".. If using Windows XP Pro, remember to use the MSCONFIG command in your START / RUN line and look at the Startup tab, see if there is any funny r_server.exe's or weird nuts like that with a checkmark next to it.. if so find out what it is/does and KO it if your not using or needing it at start up.. You should also be using a good AntiVirus and Firewall setup as well.. Firewalls are a good way of keeping track of whats leaking out of your System and will log any scans and attacks comming in.. I have tried alot of Virus / firewall setups.. I recomend McAfee's Virus Scan suite v7 with Firewall "if you cant get it I can hook you up with it'.. It for me is the best in the regards of configuring and monitoring packets and so forth and is great for script trojens .. I also had a page here somewhere that listed every exe, dll and you name it for windows XP / 2000 incase you had to ask your self >"self, would it be a good idea to delete this file from this WINDOWS or WINNT folder"< I will dig around for it and post it..
