I decided to give it one more shot. This time I deleted any reference of viperbot from the registry. Uninstalled viperbot and will reinstall it. Cross my fingers

One question: does the msnconnectionVproxy go into the viperbot directory as well well as the vconnection subdirectory of vsys. Does the msnconnectionVproxy get replaced in vconnection? Cause I have been putting it in both viperbot and vconnection...and replacing both? This is 3.83.17

the dll doesn`t need to be in viperbot folder as long as it is in the vconnection folder it should be fine having dlls in both places should not effect viper!

ok i know this sounds wack but i recall my ocx was unregistering somehow and was corrupting.I guess some would disagree but i know what was causing it here and fixed it by going in and manual registering.

I proved something to myself...I loaded viperbot on my laptop at work...connected to the bot mode with no problem...my computer at home is xp and my laptop at work is xp. I'm confused as why? Maybe its something within my operating system, a file thats corrupted. Now I'm confident that at least I know I'm not doing anything wrong. I guess this is ok..but when I'm home I cant have access to my bot...unless I had another account. I guess I could come in as a spectator...lol I'm guessing here....with computers I've learned understanding why can drive you crazy because sometimes there are no explanations. I think the case is closed unless someone knows of software that registers dll's and might force it through. Other than that....who knows.

One more thing...how do you manually register the .dll and .ocx..if thats the problem and its very possible it is.

Sounds interesting...I'll try anything but do me a favor give me step by step instructions on what he did.
I was even thinking of doing an update to xp...overriding the files, in case some are corrupt.

If the viper works at my other laptop, can I copy the entire directory onto a cd and copy it to the computer? If the answer is yes, then I can delete the viper directory and copy everything over.
