Hi, this is my first post on this forum but I have been using viper for many years and quite used to of it. Ok let's get to our point ;D So the problem is I have installed the latest viper FullSetup_3_83_16d.exe. After installing it I did reboot my system and then I installed vOCX_Setup.exe and vocxx1.exe one by one. After doing that I renamed the New_vbot.mdb to vbot.mdb and registered the var.vdll file in vsys folder. After doing that I went to InAddon folder and registered the MSNConnectionVProxy.dll file there. After doing all these things I was hoping that everything would be fine but when I tried to run viper it gave me an error which was Run-time error '430': Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface with an OK button. When I clicked on Ok nothing happend I even couldn't see the viper's interface. Now I am thinking that there is something that I have missed. In addition to this all information I want to tell you guys that I have installed mdac_typ.exe and vbrun60sp5.exe too. So, tell me what did I miss??? well, looks like you have everything except the New Connection dll: www.webagent007.org/MSNConnectionVProxy.dll (normal chat) Make sure the Connection dll is (by checking Properties): MSNConnectionVProxy.dll Version 1.1.0.0 Connection DLL for Viper in MSN Chat Also note you no longer need to install the vOCX as the vocxx1 takes its place in the 3.83.12+ versions... As you didnt say which version of mdac you installed, you may want to install the JET4.0 udate to be on the safe side: support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;829558829558 - Information About Jet 4.0 Service Pack 8 ... Use the appropriate link here to download the file to update Jet 4.0 for the operating system that is installed Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT version 4.0, Windows Me, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. Hope this all helps...

Hi Sly, thanks for your reply, I did check the version of my Connection dll file and it was File version: 1.01Description: Connection DLL for Viper in MSN ChatCopyright: Connection DLL for Viper in MSN ChatBut to make sure It is latest one I did download it from the link you provided. Also I did download the Jet40SP8_9xNT.exe and installed it too then installed the viper again and the vocxx1.exe only rebooted, registered the files and renamed the vbot file, tried to run viper and still same error. The mdac_typ.exe, I have installed is: File version: 2.50.4403.12Description: Win32 Cabinet Self-Extractor Copyright: Copyright (C) Microsoft Corp. 1981-1997I guess that's an old version because I downloaded it long time ago and still it's in my backups and is working fine with my 15d. The properties of vbrun60sp5.exe are: File version: 4.71.1015.0Description: Win32 Cabinet Self-ExtractorCopyright: Copyright (C) Microsoft Corp. 1995This one is also as old as my mdac_typ.exe is. Plus, GATEKEEP? gave me a dll file msjro.dll (Webagent007 has already mentioned about this file for "Windows 98 users only" in some thread I saw here). I put that file in my Window's System folder and tried to register it. The weired thing is the file isn't registering ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) nor by right clicking on it and selecting Register ActiveX DLL neither by RegSvr32 "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\msjro.dll". I have checked the path many times but still it isn't registering. Here's a picture of error that I get when I try to register this DLL file: ![](http://www.geocities.com/nadiazafar_21/msjrodll_reg_error.jpg) Usually this error appears when we are not giving proper or exact path. But I am very much concious about paths so thinking that I am messing with path is out of question and besides right-clicking on the file and trying to register it is giving same error. So I am completely stuck here. I do believe that I am missing someother dll files also I do believe that someone else might be facing same circumstances. Here is the viper error 430's image: ![](http://www.geocities.com/nadiazafar_21/runtime430.jpg) Well I do want to run latest viper and all these errors are reminding me of my old days when I installed viper for the first time. Well hope help is on it's way ;D Bye for now I have installed 15d again on temporary reasons but I wish to run 16d as soon as it is possible both for Msn Normal Chat and Msn Community Chat. See you guys, Regards. [shadow=red,left,300]BoRn 2B WiLd[/shadow]

Hi Born I was really not able to solve the Run-Time Error 430 "Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface" error by installing all the usual stuff, I really had to start the installation from office XP to get the correct System File Update, on my WIN98 the location is diffrent and I am able to register it manually the version is 2.62.7400.0 check what you have in C:\Program Files\Common Files\SYSTEM\ADO (its supposed to be in MDAC 2.6 SP2 : ![:))](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cheesy.png)

Webby, you mentioned in another post that mscoree.dll was required um.. I dont recall that, yes try MDAC 2.6 SP2 first, but are you getting the same error as B2BWild? I have Born on IM and he has same version of msjro.dll registered on the same location I have but it didnt solve his error, so its something more then that for him, hes doing XP office system update now. Thanks, yes its getting easier, its still an adaption but I notice the craving gets less or either I learn to ignore it lol, beeing addicted is an obligation also and you dont realize so much untill you see others not beeing able to do without smoking.. its quite a relief not to have to depend on it but I still have a long way to go, a month is nothing offcource.. doesnt it take 7 years before every trace is gone from your longs of smoking?

Ok here I am again. Thanks Webagent007 for solving the problem for me. Actually this is a very unique problem. I think I am the only one reporting that. And as I have already mentioned that I couldn't register that file yet he he ..But I did open viper and it did run ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) . So office Xp's system files updater is the solution ..but I have another problem now which is, my Vgrabber isn't getting cookies.. It joins room and when I click on that parse button it fills time in the time field below and nothing else. I am not getting any error though but when ever I open that Vgrabber it always says your vbot file isn't updated. I did update it again and again like it was written on the mini warning window but still I am there. Anyway that's not as big problem as Error '430' yet it's a problem. And after this .. I know I have another Error '429' comming my way .. Well I have a hunch that the errors are comming one by one to me in a decending order. For example first I got '430' then '429' and then I'll get '428'. So according to my rough calculations 29 errors to go (if they stopped on 400 that is) ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) One thing that I would like to contribute is that 16d is a fresh release so people like me would experience many other errors (depends on what softwares and files they have installed on there windows 98SE). For example if anyone has already installed office Xp then he/she will never experience the error '430' but who knows he/she is experiencing someother error(s) that we didn't because of some particular softwares we have installed. So ..sit tight .. too many error reports are on their way. I am really waiting for the latest version that runs on Xp and Windows98 (like the old ones). And Hamster1 my man. I don't really know what error you are getting. If it's error '430' then make sure that before installing your viper's setup you have installed these things: - mdac_typ.exe (old or new my version is old but worked for me on Windows 98)
- vbrun60sp5.exe (same as mdac_typ.exe it's a must install for Windows 98 users like myself)
- some dll files (that can be acquire by running the office Xp+'s setup. I don't know what files we exactly need but the setup automatically updates our system files)
NOTE: You can update your System files by running Microsoft's office Xp (I used office Xp 2002) and note that in that cd or folder (in case you have it on your hard drive) there's a folder named \FILES\OSP\1033 and in that folder there is Osp.msi size 352kb file. Run that file and it will update your system files (also note that there is a cab file named Osp1.cab size 15.0mb and hidden in the same folder. You just need to run the Osp.msi file only and the setup will automatically extract files from cab file.)
After installing these files as you may know that they all ask to reboot. So .. If these files are in your computer, you won't get any error '430' (I hope you don't but things are going abit funny for me). Well as I have mentioened before that as people are installing the latest viper they would experience unique errors and after all those errors there would be a cure (or a final setup that would remove all the errors). So till then I wish everybody best of luck ;D Regards, [shadow=red,left,300]BoRn 2B WiLd[/shadow]

Anyways could you try with www.webagent007.org/vbot.mdb in your Viper (replace your vbot.mdb with this download) folder and see if the grabber still gives the alert you didnt update your db?

The whole office xp isn't required for viper. Only the files I mentioned above are required to update/repair your system files. For now I am just using 15d (for community chat) and it's working fine and looking foward to 16d's news. Ok now there's another problem that I faced after installing the system file's setup from Office Xp 2002. After I installed that setup, I couldn't get my cookies manually (joined a room and then opened a new browser window and typed chat.msn.com/renderchat.msnw clicked on Go and it gives some raw information ...Refreshed that page and it gives PassportTicket, PassportProfile, SubInfo). I used to get cookies that way. But now when I go to chat.msn.com/RenderChat.msnw after joining a room, no matter how many times I refresh the page it only shows me raw figures again ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) I am putting this problem here because I never had it but now I do ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) . I am sure people here would help me getting my cookies back ;D You are very welcome Hamster1 ang my gratitudes to Webagent007 [shadow=red,left,300]BoRn 2B WiLd[/shadow]

Get hold of webby's Community grabber. I can't find a link for it anywhere except in LatAmHis community, and you have to be a member of the community to download. (not that that is any drama, it is a great source of information and hekp in Viper) If webby hasn't got a link to Community grabber, Lat's can be found at groups.msn.com/LatAmHis71DownloadsJust go to Downloads section and Latest Version of Passport Grabber.

When You Join with the VGrabber, the Passport Dates, Passport Profile/Ticket and MSN Geg cookies/Userrole gone in Database Editor. When You stay in the Community Chat room, klick parse and Save. When You get an External Grabber, you must all Dates manuel enter in vbot at Foulder Viper! In vbot SigninN. Also..VGrabber is better!!! Ty®

I do have that community grabber lolz. I don't use it though. I think viper can run without that Vgrabber right? Actually I have my own way to get cookies and it was disturbed by those system file's updater but thanks to FXN (he's on my messenger's list) that problem is solved. Still it is not giving me cookies on refresh but when I view it's source all the information is there that I need ;D As for Vgrabber, I am not using it because I can add cookies manually and one more thing that the Vgrabber doesn't work with 15d (in my openion) and I am using 15d right now and 15d is working fine except the viper doesn't hop on QUIT response (and gives some error click on ok and viper's gone). But I don't need to hop around. Anyway problem solved. Thank you guys, [shadow=red,left,300]BoRn 2B WiLd[/shadow]

when I go to chat.msn.com/RenderChat.msnw after joining a room, no matter how many times I refresh the page it only shows me raw figures try another link: view-source:http://chat.msn.com/RenderChat.msnw (so put the view-source: in front) You dont need VGrabber, I assume you have access right, because if you do it in Vipers bottem then you wont be filling in the "userro.le" or "subscriberinfo" and you need this. ps is it my pc or do I see drop downboxes here everywhere lol
