This works for me 9 out of 10 times but it will clear the Bios so the next time you log on.. the Cmos does not ask for a pass ... Can you bring up the DOS prompt ?.. If you can you will be able to change the Bios setting to default ... To clear the Cmos do the following : Dos prompt and type : DEBUG and hit enter -o 70 2e and Enter -o 71 ff and Enter -q and Enter exit and Enter Restart your system ... --------- If that does not work over the fact your Bios may differ from mine.. here is a series of Bios passes : AWARD BIOS AWARD SW, AWARD_SW, Award SW, AWARD PW, _award, awkward, J64, j256, j262, j332, j322, 01322222, 589589, 589721, 595595, 598598, HLT, SER, SKY_FOX, aLLy, aLLY, Condo, CONCAT, TTPTHA, aPAf, HLT, KDD, ZBAAACA, ZAAADA, ZJAAADC, djonet, %øåñòü ïpîáåëîâ%, %äåâÿòü ïpîáåëîâ% AMI BIOS AMI, A.M.I., AMI SW, AMI_SW, BIOS, PASSWORD, HEWITT RAND, Oder Other passwords you may try (for AMI / AWARD or other Bios's) LKWPETER, lkwpeter, BIOSTAR, biostar, BIOSSTAR, biosstar, ALFAROME, Syxz, Wodj Caution.. If you were advised to use the "Jumpers" <<>> I would not advise it unless you fully read the Motherboards manual...: Sincerely CourtneyDS PS : By the way.. you are not the only one that has forgot a Bios pass ... I believe it has happened like 5 or 6 times to me Court

If all else fails, Remove the Cmos battery for a few hours or even a day..
Note that you may have to unscrew layers of components to actually get to the system board, where the battery resides. The support section of your laptop manufacturers website should have detailed instructions on how to disassemble parts of the laptop.
That should pretty much reset password..
