DATA BASE not working on VIPER 3.83.9

I have installed VIPER 3.83.9 and the data base. I have used and configured it (Viper and DB) before with a pervious version. However, this data base is not working properly. I do not get any of the kicks triggering. Also, even though I have advertisement set to 10 minutes, it is posting at 1 minute (I know how to set the time interval). Also have uninstalled DATA BASE and reinstalled and rebooted, no change.

The question I pose is, does any one know how to make the DB work? I have followed past configuration procedures, and have also gone thru the turorial. It just doesn't seem to work properly. Viper seems to operate normally otherwise.

Well i must say that i have the same problem evrything else works apart from this database. It worked fine when all we had to do was download the patch for the old one

Opps Ok what do you have ticked one the control board and have you reloded the database after making changes. I know, dumb questions but we have to start somewhere,

Seen this before sometimes simpley downloading a new database file helps!

Well i have to say this is not helpin i have done all i can with this thing and what your are tellin me to is like treatin me as if i have never used bots before i have re-installed tryed all the updates i can but yet it still does not want to use the database

P.s IO'm not being nasty just a little miffed as i need to get this up and runnin soon for the mrs's

Are you sure you have the database in the main Viper folder, and not in the folder with the viper exe?

Have you checked, on the kick/warn screen of your control panel the following boxes:
Privmsg <top left>
Profanity w/kick <bottom right> ?

If you have set Op1 status to people, and have Spare Op1 checked as well, that would also cause it to not respond to those people...if this is the case, try unchecking that box...

Just making a troubleshooting checklist of the most common errors...

Well it's nice to see you can be helpfull but im sorry to say that did not work. I have tryed all types of button configs over the past 3 days only to find it will not work. ANd yes i have tryed had sure all the files are in the right place, i even tryed dowloadin the old version of the bot (viper bot3.82.5.1) witht he exe patch and yet still does not work.

Did you download the Database ?
The one you get with 3.83.9 seems to be Bung. Lots of people have the same trouble with it not showing when they click edit database, but it is almost always fixed by downloading the database.

When you edit it make sure you change the kick for *www* into *www.*.* or just delete it (because it is an example of very poor use of Wildcards)

YEp i have tryed all that i have been in msn chat for 4 years not and i'm sure i know a few things aboot the internet. And how does one download the database. Only messing with ya head i have it all installed and ready to go, but yet it still will not do i have told it 2

Yeah, I've pretty much gone round in circles trying to think of why this problem persists...it's gotta be something in your control panel, as you've stated you have done everything else we've suggested.

Hope you figure it out, and when you do, let us know what worked lol
