This means you lost connection, Viper is trying to send something to the server but it was disconnected.. it seems as if your onjoin causes it, or something else does but Viper doesnt notice untill it wants to send the onjoin command.
to narrow the cause, see if theres anything unusual in the raw server trace, also turn off onjoin and check if you still have the problem that Viper disconnects.

Hai all.... PMFJI ;D Got the same error "40006" today... . Viper is working just fine when I left home, leaving the Viper connected to one community/groups chatroom ;D. When I reached home later, I was disconnected from 2 community/group chatrooms that I was in. My yahoo messenger is still connected tho. So, it cannot be my internet connection. I still got the same "40006" error each time I try to enter community/group chat room. Maybe it got something to do with MSN, coz even my friends cannot get into community/group chatroom using her MIRC script or something like that (I only use viper ). Even MSN Messenger keep on disconnected. Anyone else facing the same problem as I'm facing now? Just for info, my local time is GMT +8 and its 2048 hrs now. Regs

I have found when I cant join groups with IE, I re-register the ocx using Dynamics chat register and all is well again. I dont know why it happens but it seems the ocx gets either currupted, or somehow de-registers itself. By registering it again, it fixes my problems and I'm back in Groups chat

Im back ;D.... *LOL* Been away for 2 weeks working.... well, bout my problem, installed and registered the Mswinsck.ocx yet i still got the 40006 problem Hello Marul !! Back Again lol. Okay.......you Installed Msn.Winsock In Windows\System and System 32(Register It) Look to Visual Studio Downloads. Includet also Your Missing Files. msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/previous/vs6/downloads/default.aspxRead Instructions::::: support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;319692Run-time error: 40006
Wrong protocol or connection state for the requested transaction or request. CAUSE This problem occurs because of a bug in the Winsock control. Although the occurrence of this problem depends on data flow between two entities, the problem may occur more consistently when the client (receiver) application is much slower than the server (transmitter) application, and when no application-level flow control is implemented. RESOLUTION To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0. For more information, visit the following Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) Web site: http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/previous/vs6/downloads/default.aspx
I hope...Your Problewm is betimes repair. Greets
