hi all,
Everything had been working fine last time I used the DB editor. I have not upgraded or changed anything about Viper per se. But when I tried to run the DB editor today, I got 4 screens in a row saying:
Class not registered Looking for object with CLSID:{00000100-0000-0010-8000-00AA006D2EA4}
After clicking "OK" through the 4 identical error screens, the DB Editor window would open with a blank DB. However, it was not editable.
The DB Editor is 1.5.11
Redownloading the "latest" editor, uninstalling and reinstalling, changing DB files, etc, changed nothing.
Wierd thing is a friend across the country is having the same problem. What have we done to ourselves?? lol
Any suggestions will be, as always, appreciated.

Here try this: Class not registered ....... Looking for object with CLSID:{00000100-0000-0010-8000-00AA006D2EA4} While opening the database go here www.techgear007.net/missingfiles.htm andDownload: Dao360.dll Unzip it and save it in: C:WINDOWSSYSTEM or C:WINNTSYSTEM. Then go to RUN and type: Regsvr32C:WINDOWSSYSTEMDao360.dll Regsvr32 or C:WINNTSYSTEMDao360.dll hope it helps

yep thats it, but I don't see backslashes lol: Unzip it and save it in: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM (normal windows) Then go to RUN and type: Regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\Dao360.dll But you can also do the full setup of the database editor again, and choose "Custom" instead of "Complete". Then in the next screen you tick "Install DAO" aswell.. that should fix it too.

Downloading the dao360.dll and registering it solved that problem. But now I had a new error: Missing vbajet.dll (for 16 bit systems) or vbajet32.dll (for 32 bit systems). Solution: Using "Search" on the same "missing files" site posted above, I found and downloaded vbajet32.dll. Putting a copy of it in the MAIN VIPER BOT folder worked. Thank you Chuck for the key to the solution! Webagent - you are, as always, AWESOME

PureBullDog:
Did you unzip and then run the dao360.bat file that came in the zip with the dll file?
The bat file will make sure that the dll is copied to the right folder and properly registered.
Or maybe, as Webagent suggested, just do a complete, custom re-install of the editor (see above).
Hope ya solve it!
