Smuggy : You and your country (or anyone's country) tends to scare me. Country music is (by far) my least favorite type of music. But that's your personal choice (that's fine by me). But Kid Rock? Blargary! That's just insane.
I guess Music forums are good ways for people to release some tension in their lives, which is highly understandable. MP3 technology fasinates me for some reason or another; but music itself is great. Classical, Alternative, Hard Rock, Game (Video Game/Computer Game), and Punk are all the types (genres) of Music that I like (personally).

is something wrong with country ?? To me anymore its just a light version of pop and rock ballads(Eagles,Fleetwood Mac, ect, ect) with a touch of southerness in the mix and i do listen to all forms of music with the exception of Rap which i cant tolerate at all(personal, my choice) Classic Rock is great and some of the harder stuff fits my mood sometimes and everrrrrrrrry now and then Classic Country(the stuff I grew up with) but todays Country is not that which I grew up with. The new artists are bringing Country completely away from that twangy stuff The songs have good lyrics and the music is stuff you can hear and not pounding in your head which was why I went back the the Genre of Country from Rock to hear the music once again.

Our classic Rock station even advertises the Country concerts and has Country Stars as guests on the talk aspects of the program

I know this thread has been dead awhile, but I just seen your post today sly.
They are now, not only playing rock songs on country stations, and country songs on rock stations.. but their also starting to classify some songs down here in Oklahoma as country bands.. their actually rock.
I have heard Shinia Twain on these rock stations for the longest times.. seems she is pop rock now around here.
I am waiting for them to release her on wal-mart shelves as rock not country.
