[glow=purple,4,1500]I just figured out a way to add names to the allow or deny list using response.txt or send raw data (the secret is in IPGP.txt). That means you can do IP grabber protection on the old Viper or the new Viper. I also experimented with the grabber thing and I found that it seems to make no difference if you add PRIVMSG *, WHISPER *, CTCP * or NOTICE * in the lower box or not. The grabber will still add a deny with a wildcard. Adding different filters doesnt seem to affect this wildcard entry. So if you try to only block NOTICE it will still block everything including whispers. The grant ones work well for me but the deny has only executed one.[/glow]
1 ACCESS me.nk$ ADD GRANT ï€ ÂÂÂÂ!17491A2EC27C8271@GateKeeperPassport 0 : IP Grabber protection 1 CTCP *\r\n\\|\\\\\WHISPER *\r\n\\|\\\\\NOTICE *\r\n\\|\\\\\PRIVMSG *\r\n
^ its that 2nd one that doesnt seem to work for me- for some reason it keeps adding all those boxes.

First option and second option are independent. If something is blocked by the first option will always be blocked no matter what you do with the second option.
Just keep in mind first blocks incoming message, while second blocks out going messages.... and it won't block Viper's own generate messages.
I've tested with the following pattern and it blocked the time message: NOTICE *
Lastly, you can mess with IPGP.txt file, but clear the file before using IPGP option in the room. IPGP.txt file format isn't reader friendly, so it can cause a lot of confusion. If you are not testing, use the IPGP dialog.

David told me that there are IP grabbers these days which don't use time or whisper, and they do it in a few seconds without being detected. This makes the IPGP option seem almost useless, since the time block feature would have stopped the old IP grabbers anyway. If you use IPGP to prevent spam whispers from getting through... I thought of a way you could automatically let people whisper you if they first type a command in the room. This would make the IP grabber protection useless because someone could say the command and then grab your IP.. But only if your time options are not blocked. It would go something like this.. If anyone is interested :
"Ps*st","ACCESS me.nk$ add GRANT nkr$ 10 :nkc$ may whisper\r\nWHISPER rn$ nkr$ :txtFrmt$ nkc$ -you now have ten minutes of whisper time with me before my whispers turn off. When 10 minutes are up I will no longer recieve your whispers and you may type Pssst in the main again to be able to whisper me.char-1$",0,""
I tested it and it seems to work...But it will not store the names in the permanent allow list, just give them ten minutes to whisper. Spammers will never think of saying Psssst in the room so this option would be a way of keeping out unwanted spam whispers in a room you are not host of.
