Hi all (and Happy new Year ) Willow have this Error: groups.msn.com/_Secure/0RQDfAnQVlfswXqR0bltJhrzf3NJ2MxgC3GZSCD5bYN3Cpt6!WQYRYizTy5xjLURXtv50*V907Y18OO0CohEPlOQUox08IJcGCDJ9siWT!VI/Runtime.bmp?dc=4675405183012752988 [/img] Willow tried the already following: "new" MSN passport haven (email + passport) also this led to the error specified above. To a "double" log in with the same pitch name I had also thought, but that is not like that. If Willow goes into the Chat, he receives the message 10048 immediately and viper falls! Ask for assistance, since I cannot help it! Smyler

Try reinstalling runtime files . It could be that he,s using other programs at the same time . Let him close all programs and start up Viper again.

Hi there! o.k. i did try everything you suggested. I even uninstalled half of my windows in order to get the things right. Here's list of what i tried to get rid of this error: 1) restarting viper several times: no success 2) uninstalling all files that came with viper an the system-file-packages (thanks to complete logging i found all of them) and afterwards reinstalling them. no success 3) shutting down any program i found running on my computer (killtask.exe helps a real lot) no success 4) as i am directly connected to the internet i even tried to shutdown any firewall-like tool (i really dont like doing this) and all mentioned in point 3 no success 5) i uninstalled everything that i could sparse and then reinstalled viper and the system-file-packages. (guess what ) no success looks like i have no way in getting this nice piece of software to do what _I_ want. if you still have some recommendations you're welcome. greets willow

hi again!
o.k. perhaps i shoulld say some words about the system configuration:
Windows98SE ZoneAlarm (firewall) YAW (yet an other warner=dialer-warner. YES you need such a d**n thin in germany) AntiVir/9X-Personal Edition Outlook 2000 IE 6.0 Paint Shop Pro (eval-version) Proxy+ (eval-version) and all those nice gdgets you get when installing windows
hope this helps for a solution of this problem

it could be Proxy+ (eval-version), but it really boils down to windows socket system files. They are suppose to open a new sockect and in your case they fail. Or it could be just winsock control.
